Allegro Retail also uses tracking pixels. The pixel is programming code that allows for embedding an object on the website, typically an image the size of one pixel, which allows for tracking user behavior on the websites where it has been placed. The pixel may work in an optimum way when combined with the use of first-party or third-party cookies. Once the relevant consent is given, the browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the server that stores the pixel; therefore, the data collected by the pixel are processed under the data protection policy of the entity that manages the server, e.g. an Allegro Retail partner. The partner may associate your visit on Allegro Retail website if you are registered on its platform, also in correlation with a cookie (if any) associated with your session.

Model functioning of the tracking pixel

By clicking the link/banner on the partner’s website, users are redirected to the site of the advertiser. If they access pages with pixels, information about that is sent to the partner’s server and then forwarded to the advertiser; the technology based on SDK tools that we use in mobile apps works in a similar way. Thanks to the pixel, the advertiser obtains aggregated information on how many people who used the link/banner on the partner’s site made a purchase with them, if the pixel was embedded on the order completion page.

Mobile advertising IDs

If you agree, our app will receive the marketing ID of your mobile device.

The IDs include: AdID (Android) and IDFA (iOS).

The user can clear the IDs and block their use. Information on how to do this is available in your device’s manual.

On our websites, we use third-party tools and services, in particular those related to providing services available through the site, as well as to analytics, advertising (including ads based on interests), re-marketing, or measuring the results of advertising campaigns. Google Advertising Products (Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform)

Google Marketing Platform (Cookies)

We use advertising and re-marketing tools. For this purpose, we use Google’s cookies for DoubleClick services. Third-party providers install the relevant code or pixel to collect information on the user’s activity on websites, and then, on that basis, they display our ads to the user who has visited our websites when they go to other websites operated by the advertising network of our third-party providers, and also collect information on the executed campaign, perform site analytics, and analyze segments.

Google Ads (Cookies)

Google Ads allows us to display our offer within the Google search engine and on websites that belong to Google’s advertising network. With Google Ads, we analyze the effectiveness of ads, which helps us better adjust the offer to users’ expectations. After clicking the banner of an ad published by Google, cookies related to the Ads service are saved to the user’s computer.

Allegro Retail and Meta have agreed that Meta is responsible for ensuring that the rights of data subjects are enforced in line with Articles 15–20 of the GDPR in respect of the personal data stored by Meta after joint processing.

Google reCAPTCHA is a tool for detecting artificial traffic on websites and, among other things, preventing bots from downloading content from our websites. This solution displays a request for a simple test to confirm that a user is a human being and is not a computer. This functionality also involves acquiring information on hardware and software (such as devices and search engine data) and its analysis by Google.

The information obtained through the reCAPTCHA service will be used by Google to provide, maintain, and enhance functionality, and for general security purposes.
